Knight Takes Home Finale at Eriez Speedway

Hammett, PA (September 30, 2007):
Andy Kania started on the pole of the Roberts Trucking Super Late Model feature and jumped out to the early lead over Scott Johnson, but yellow appeared for a spin by Ryan Scott, negating the original start.  On the second try at green Kania and Johnson took off up front with Joe Harvey trailing in third.  At the halfway point Johnson came by Kania on the high side for the lead.  Kania appeared to slow after that and was passed for the runner-up spot at lap 15 when caution flew for a spin by Dan Maxim in turn two, canceling the pass for second.  After green Mike Knight flew by both Kania and Johnson to take the lead.  After yet another yellow, Kania regained his speed and dropped Johnson to third and Hess Jr dropped him to fourth.  Hess Jr, the 2006 point’s champion then set out after Knight, the 2007 point’s champion, from yellow with four laps remaining. After two more restarts at lap 23, Knight was able to hold off Hess for his second win of the 2007 season.  Doug Eck wound up third with Kania fourth and Jason Morell fifth.
