Hammett, PA

Bump Hedman and Randy Lobb were on the front row for the start of the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model feature which had 23 starters.  Hedman got the early lead with opening night winner Mike Knight coming by on the high side to lead at the end of two laps.

Dave Hess Jr, fresh off a win at Stateline the night before was second at lap three and pressuring Knight for several laps and at lap six was alongside the leader as they entered turn one.  Unable to complete the pass at that time, Hess tried both high and low but caution interrupted by caution when Doug Eck slammed the wall at the flagstand on lap ten.

After the cleanup Knight was able to distance himself from the rest of the field until caution again bunched the field on lap 18 when Wendell Pinckney slowed to a stop on the back straight.  Over the final laps Knight steadily pulled away from Hess with Chris Hackett winding p third, week two winner Scott Johnson fourth and Randj Lobb fifth.
